This is a really nice poem, written in the quatrain style form with good rhythm and rhyming throughout the poem, about Lily and her adventuresome spirit, in spite of her trials.

this is lovely and well written. I realized as I read this that I was smiling. it occurred to me that perhaps it was I that was foolish for being so wrapped up in a world that makes me frown and she more wise in a world that's upside down. I have known many children like this and special is the perfect word to describe them. wonderful piece. mike

Just beautiful! What a marvellous pen-picture of dear Lily. What a sharp reminder of the way children who have had a hard road somehow seem to ride above their afflictions and put on a smile. They seem to realise more than the rest of us how truly precious life really is. With words like ZitheryZoo she is clearly destined to become a famous poet!
