This is utterly fantastic. It is quite long but
also hysterical. I cannot imagine how clever you
are to write in this fashion.
I really got a chuckle from it.
Great entry.
Lots of luck.

Excellent poem, I really enjoyed the choice of language and I had a smile on my face as I was rolling those perfectly sweet morsels of fingery lickit off my tongue!

Yimminey-crickets! Absolutely remarkably written poem that made me laugh the whole way through. I loved the language used and the rhyme scheme is wonderful. There are so many great decriptive lines, hard to pick out just one or two. Every line was a gem. Loved it! Cheers, ~JP

Because of the language, I quit reading after four lines. I was going to move on to my next read. However, I gave it a second chance, and I'm glad I did. This piece is excellent in every way. I found no mistakes (even if I couldn't have). It was a real cute story written in verse. It took me a bit longer to read than normally because of the language. And it was humorous. I really enjoyed reading this cute poem. I think it was excellent.

Always with respect,

strong use of rhyming couplets
love the dialect :-)
vivid descriptive detail
that has me hungry :-)
good alliteration in phrases like huskies in harness
you tell a fun story that kept me laughing, and despite the liberties with language, the story is easy to follow :-) Brooke

Not only was this told in near perfect Cajun dialect, but it was so well metered and so well rhymed. A grand display of poetic prowess. Did I happen to mention how funny 'dis wuz? because it is hilarious!

I think I would have enjoyed one of these 'fingerly lickits.' They sure sound mightiee tastiee, thas 'a shore!

I enjoyed the poem but I found "dis language" distracting and irritating. To me it sounds like the narrator has a heavy cold! From you note it seems the accent or patois is not real but has been created maybe to give it a folky feel. It doesn't ring true. Without it I think you have a really excellent humorous poem.
