This is a very cool poem, one of the neatest I have read on here. It took me back to when me and my dad watched Bonanza and other westerns on Saturday mornings. great job!

There was a strong voice (with a western twang!) in this write.
Almost sing-song, it narrates beautifully a cowboy country and western sort of tale.

I like this poem. It is well written and flows nicly. It reads like a song and I like that a lot. The picture and color scheme add to the imapact of the poem, but I think it is wonderful any way. Thank you for sharing

Good job telling a story in verse, but just how did you come up with the name Jerry Jing hang? A spaghetti western this ain't. No hanging w/out a trial ( hell, they'd sting up anybody in the old west).

Jerry Jing-Jang (aka Gerry Warren)is my dad. He used to tell stories of his cowboy days when we were kids. They were fictional, of course, but when I was six I totally believed him. Thanks for the great review.

Good story, with a hero no less. Good rhyme tho the meter is off a bit in places. Has a moral as well as being entertaining. Moral is "YOU CAN'T TRUST GOVERNMENT!" That's what I choose to see, because they ARE so very corrupt.

Glad you enjoyed the story. The sheriff is an idiot. I can't hang Rusty, because what would JJJ do without him?

A cowboy with a sense of justice who believes in judges, juries and lawyers. This sheriff won't be reelected unless people are stupid. Nice poem. Made me think of a cowboy we have here, Gwinterwin. Thanks for sharing.

That sheriff has to be a bit of an idiot. Otherwise he'd catch Rusty, Rusty would hang, and I'd have no story. Glad you enjoyed Jerry Jing-Jang.
