The writer does a good job of telling the story clearly from start to finish. The writer sticks with the aabb rhyme scheme consistently. The writer does not force the rhymes as this piece holds my attention from start to finish. Best of luck in the contest.

This is an exceptional story in a poem. Your rhyme couldn't have been better and reading this poem isn't forced at all.
It really is a pleasure reading. Good luck in the contest!

'J...J-J the Lawman' is a well-written and entertaining piece. This talented poet has painted a vivid picture of law in the wild west. It was a pleasure to both read and review a work of this caliber.

I like that! The moral of the story is that "Jerry Jing Jang"
was a just person. And he didn't want to hang a person
without due process. And that's saying a lot. You did
a nice job at describing this. And I vastly appreciate it.
Keep writing.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Jerry Jing-Jang. JJJ, aka Gerry Warren, is my dad. When we were kids he told stories of his cowboy days. In his version, he was Jerry Jing-Jang. They were fictional, of course, but when I was six I totally believed him. Thanks for the wonderful review.

A wonderful enjoyable story with a funny story line told with rhyming.
I like the story and it made me want to know whether there's a "Part 2" to this story. How the bad rusty, the good Jerry and the so-called law abiding sheriff continues in the story.
Excellent write in a story with a message to all. Sometime we should not get into other people's personal business unless we really know what's going on and the consequences, if any.
Cheerio, Ritchie.

I suppose Jerry Jing-Jang will keep riding as long as his fans love him. There are more of his adventures in my portfolio, if you're interested. Thanks for the great review.

I will, when time permits as there is a backlog of reviews on my waiting list but I will - soon. Smiles.
Just so i do not miss your works in my spare time, as I am already your fan. I just have to make myself remember your name as Jing-Jang Cindy (I am hopeless at remembering names, smiles).

    Cheerio, hugs, Ritchie.

Very good little story within a poem. Loved the entertaining ride through this jing-jang problem. Cute and full of wit. I liked the rhyme and the rhythm all the way through the piece. Well done and enjoyable to read.

This poem is a lot a bull(might not be the first
time you've heard that about this piece.) A fun
theme and delivery. I wish you all the best in
the contest, best wishes, Ridley

Yep this is really some story in a poem about a western cowboy's life of guns and cattles and sheriff of a long gone age. There is a twist of humor when Rusty was cut loose by Jerry Jing Jang and freed for the main reason, that he is a cowboy and he needs to act like a cowboy, and catching them is a job not for him, but for the sheriff. Nice.

Glad you enjoyed my poem. The only thing that sheriff could catch is a cold. Rusty doesn't have too much to worry about. LOL Thanks for the great review.
