A calm picture of exile caused by loss of communication, so sadly expressed that your poem is posed like a symbol of sorrows ( :-( }
Sometimes our wished cherishments get blocked by blows beyond our control and perhaps it seems that you've become a victim of such a consequence. For no reasons of yours if you fall a pray of this solitude, then let your ending line provide you all strength to reach the wishful journey point.

Wow! This is an awesome poem filled with emotion. I can understand easily what you are talking about in this poem because I am currently in a similar state of mind.

Too many people feel this way.
You put so much emotion in this poem in such a wonderful way and wrote it so well. I cannot think of one thing that would aid this piece in any way.

You temporally dwell in your "fortress of solitude" in order to escape life's detractions and find peace within your being. The desire to recluse ourselves from over simulation in this hectic world is understandable and common. You will emerge from this respite with a clearer direction in life and once more chase your dreams with abandonment and zeal. Like a computer sometimes we need time out just to process the magnitude of information that we garner as we explore this thing called life. If you fail to surface soon, your friends will come knocking.
