Nice job, John. I found no spag, and I like those tight little sentences. I believe this one is a winner! I love the story, and idea of "cow success" being too much. Very cute story. I have only one little question. The bus was for animals, pets, and people? It might be cute to make it a people bus, that accepts the cow? Your call, it's a fun children's story for sure.

I have a ten year old grandson . He is very very bright, he is not reading children's books anymore at that age. They are reading "Diary of a Wimpy Kid",the series. Chapter books. So in my opinion your age range is off, and your words need to come down some levels. I say this from reading many children's books to four grand children.

That farmer must have been leaving the gate open everyday. It's a cute story. Have you tried reading this to 7-9 year old children or having them read it? See what they think of the story. I do know children enjoyed Charlotte's web. In that story the farm animals talked. It's hard for us to remember back that far. Also, back then times were different. We weren't exposed to as much as children are today. Children are bombarded by so much now. Sorry that I can't be of much help with this. All I can do is give you suggestions.

This is very cute. I think kids would like it a lot. I'm not sure they will know what a 'kiss me quick hat' is but they can always ask. I know they won't always know what everything means in my books, but it is an opportunity to learn. Great job on this John. Rox

I will share this with my grandchildren. It is well written and just a really cute story. Seeing things from a different perspective, sometimes allows us to appreciate the simple things in life. There's a message in here too. Don't be afraid to do something different. there's a whole world of goodness waiting for you. Funny how the cow became the "guinea pig." Thanks for sharing this

This definitely will work for a 7-9 year old, but also does quite well with a 67 year old. What a fun an delightful story. I enjoyed it immensely. Keep them coming.
