Mike, I love this haiku because you were able to write a huge multi-7versed poem in just 5 lines. The line "walking through layers of time" is brilliant to use for a museum. Excellent.

I consider this an interesting contrast to the Jewish Museum's introductory poem which took six hours to write, essentially ending up with the same words I started with. This poem took me only thirty seconds to do, then six hours to try to find and another six to rewrite it from memory. The museum is laid out such, that you really get the sense of time travel.

They also have a lot of artifacts, if I tried to sell at a yard sale, I couldn't get 25 cents for, yet within the time frame they were very expensive to procure and even the everyday items were valued, then rediscovered and considered priceless.

I enjoy this review and the compliments. Tank you! Mike

Hi Mike,

This 5/7/5 poem is excellent and the presentation is exceptional. Walking through layers of time...is a line I wish I had written. Well done, chey

Wow! Now this is a review with an ultimate compliment to thank you for. I so often feel that here, but poetry is definitely a life of adaptation and switch. No doubt I will express the same, as I had before. Mike

Five stars today. Haiku isn't really my favorite, but you have created a pleasant one here, and I am always ready for a museum, where old things are to be seen. You have done a fine job of defining and promoting this one. Well done.

Glad not to be down graded for use of a form. LOL Every museum in Baltimore gets one of these so their will be a collection of 52 total. I enjoyed your review and thank you for taking the time. Mike

Yes had never heard of The Walters Art Museum till now! But the writer's reference to 'walking through layers of time' caught my attention. Not to mention the artistic treats contained therein 'treasures to behold' since the treasures do span 'layers of time' stretching from pre-dynastic Egypt to 20th century Europe.

Don't bring up Mummy, she drove me crazy and I didn't even have success staking her out as people liked to stand in front of her and text. Finally a guide offered to help, and I photographed her.

I had to stake this photo out as well, but was thankful it only took 15 minutes. I was very happy that their security was wonderfully contrasted to my last museum.

There is one other like this, but as a child the Baltimore Museum of art didn't hold that same time feeling and really a lot of thought went into this. I decided to end up with treasures, because if I tried to sell them at a yard sale, people wouldn't buy them, yet they are unaffordable when pedigreed and sold at auctions.

I enjoyed the review and compliments, and thank you for taking the time out. Mike

It should be Truth in treasures.....

Nice one. With Time Value increases if Truth is there. And it deserves more value.

Thaks.
