thank you for this piece of History. Since I visit every synagogue when abroad, this enhanced my experiences. The last one I visited was in Shanghai and truly fascinating. I love the history. warm wishes, Connie and Eph

I enjoyed this review and also thank you for sharing your experiences to. The Jewish Museum will most likely be my most interesting poetic experience, because a previous poem got me in a lot of trouble there and they honestly didn't think I was a writer, yet with this project, it really made me step up to the plate and represent them fairly. I still love the place and in one respect, wished I could go back, but on the other hand, because of the people there, I am totally disgusted and don't want to return. The irony is the problematic poem was picked up and published by Poems of the World. Go figure! Have a great weekend, Mike

interesting Mike. Are you going to post the poem here? I would love to read it. Or to my pm? :) Yep,the written words can be a problem as too easily misconstrued and there are many small minded people.

It's already posted in my portfolio as, "The Light of Love," along with the complete notes. The actual story makes the last chapter in my biography. What a total trip for me to end up with my final chapter titled, "Visionary Foot Prints and Gefiltafish." I was so happy for the museums adventures creating the final story, yet I prayed to God not to make it the perfect one, but it was as if I was destined to be an observor. The experience actually took me back to the same reason I decided to write my biography; somebody has to say something.

On Facebook I am amazed that I have friends from all over the world of all major religions. It doesn't hurt my idea of one God, but fosters it and continue to adds to my blessings. It also reminds me of my responsibilities in regards to writing, as well remaining true for the purpose.

I found it interesting the Jewish museum had the comic book exhibit. I am curious as to how that plays into the Jewish culture. I think that would have been a nice thing to add to this piece.
Overall though I found it informative and interesting.
One little suggestion:
and become St
I think would sound better as:
and became the St.

as well (as) a more modern museum building (which makes) make up the Jewish Museum's campus.
Mike, I think this essay goes along well with your poem and adds information for the reader. Here are a few things for you to look at to see if you agree ...

United State's (United States's) third oldest (synagogue??)

As the St. John('s) (congregation?) moved out

"Synagogue Speaks," (delete comma)

In the area as well, (delete comma) (and) how it fits

Smiles,
Karyn : )

I thank you for the compliments, corrections and review. I have been generally dissuaded from using, as well as, but all the other corrections have been made. I think you have a great eye in seeing things other people don't catch. Mike

Thank you for an interesting piece of history and culture in Baltimore. I was living in the Washington D.C. area during the 60s, but my interests were more shallow in those days. :-(

This isn't supposed to be a guilt piece, and in fact I am hoping to use it so that the museums themselves will appreciate their mission statements and responsibilities. If my father and grandmother didn't take me to these museums around town, a lot would be lost to me as well. I am trying to bring this to life as in today's time and budgets, museums need to be preserved as well, sometimes from themselves.

I enjoyed this review and thank you for it and the compliments. Mike

The writer does a good job of drawing the reader into this story with facts. Facts is the best way to lure the reader in because not only is this a story, it's a lesson. Whenever the reader can learn something from a piece, it's all good.

The museum hosts the, "Synagogue - drop the comma

Are you sure that isn't the Biblical spelling? LOL Oops! I did replace the semicolon with a comma. I appreciate this review and thank you for that and the compliments, Mike.

Hi Mike,

Oh, this is a wonderful poem and I regret I don't have a six for you. You kept me engaged throughout with your lyrical rhyme and flawless phrasing. You have told a good story and your presentation is better than any I have seen. Well done and a virtual six....chey

I enjoyed your poem, Mike, but am always totally amazed with your skill of adding photography throughout your poems. Is that your graphic design that shines? Your poem was very insightful and educational to me.

This review made me blush. "Aw, shucks mam..." That was an unexpected with poetry; and I figured talents and trades in my life had dead ended, but how wonderful poetry became something that resurected and made use of those talent.

It make my photography education pay off, as well makes use of the skills I used at work, now considered no longer needed. (I was a lithographer and prepress (stripper they call it, putting negatives together for the press plates,) as well forced to be knowledgable with the computer.

I enjoyed the review and compliments, as well thank you for them. Mike

Really good message. Very thoughtful and I liked all the imagery in both picture and words. It helps us to keep things in perspective about what are real values are.
