A right grand poem ye bony lad. I be missing ye. I am not a very active member of fanstory anymore. I spend too much time writing. My e-mail address is weirk53@yahoo.com. I would like to stay in contact with you. I am writing a lot more Scottish and Irish poetry and sometimes need clarification on words and spelling. So please e-mail me so I have your e-mail so I can ask questions. Thank you for such a delightful poem to read and listen too.

You old friend invest a great deal of time in a poem. I then have taken the time to read it. I think this two - times poetic !! Once in your dialect and once in content

This is one of the most heartfelt and charming poems I've read today! I love it and who wouldn't like to be the recipient of "that Bonny lass, an' a work o' sculptured class." I had one of those real "sigh" moments after reading this one, I even called my daughter into my writing room to listen to the beautiful and melodic sound of your voice reading this piece. Thanks for sharing a masterfully crafted poem.

I for one love your Scottish vernacular. I find it charming. Yes it takes a little longer to read but worth it I would say. I find it to be romantic though quaint. The tenderness in the lines was evident and I really enjoyed it. I couldn't access he voice but would dearly love to hear it read. Very nice, Nancy

You will always be one of my favorite poets and the language you use is invigorating and romantic. This piece is a fabulous tribute to the woman you love. Bravo. xoxo deborah aka Kiwi

I commend you for your command of the vernacular . that being said, I did find it distracting to the poem as a whole. really had to work it to read it. I am not familiar with your work and would be interested in seeing other works not vernacular-heavy. " climbin' Everest without your shoes" - good line.

I thought that was what you wrote that you wife had not been well for a while. Glad to hear she is doing better now. Is this why we missed you a period.

Ah, that is such a beautiful poem that is written for a beautiful person. How do I know that? Through your words. Thanks for sharing.

I liked this poem...Althought I had a hard time reading it..
But I got a good laugh at myself when I tried to read it out loud. God Bless!
