Truly a compassionate poem very detail and emotionally filled with love and memories. Thank you for the sound bit, it helped a lot. What really made this poem truly beautiful is my mind is only able to process it from my persecptive, but hearing your voice and accent allowed me to enjoy it from yours. Excellent.

It matters not the culture in which you are born. Love will be there for you to seek out for the happiness it will bring. This is very well written.

This work has reached the exceptional level

I only give out 6 stars when a piece really sets itself apart. The poem is good by itself but adding the authors voice to it, set it apart and really made it great. Good job thinking outside of the box

First, thank you for the audio to go along with this. Not because it would have been bad without it, but because it adds so much more to it than my American accent trying to read it. A truly beautiful poem. And thank you as well to the list you've provided with it. I will definitely read more.

I found myself utterly captivated in the reading of this piece. I love the language/accent and it really just lulled me into a quite peaceful place to be read to. It was a bit hard to comprehend in places, so reading along helped, but for the most part, I'd say this was a successful endeavor.

Well it really helped to hear it spoken, it makes the words when I read them smoother.

I like the heritage behind the poem, though I find it a bit difficult at times - but that's on me, not you.

Thank you for sharing this true story, I've enjoyed it!!!!

This is very nice.
I believe that all poetry should be read aloud. This piece has a nice rhythm and rhyme that plays well with the verse and message.
The Scottish vernacular gives it a prep school feel that I'd dismissed into my past.
Thanks for sharing
Gene

No need at all to apologize dear - I've been delighting in "Monarch of the Glen" for the last few weeks and used to read Robbie Burns as a kid! Delightful story and utterly unique - I wish you and your bonnie lass well!

Yea ken( ,)whin yea see a butterfly alight, (spacing error) - and you might want to fix the spacing between the last few verses???

Good idea to do an author recording!!!
