This is a well written chapter. No spags found.

No doubt, Darcy is a real trip. Nothing like complaining about everything, then tricking the Father into paying for the luncheon. JW

A riveting story Bev. I didn't know at any time how or which way it was going tom turn next. And on top of it the way you ended it with the setup and her thoughts of self recognition. Thank you for this mind bending tale.

Reading this, I could not help wondering if Darcy was the killer perhaps. I don't know why. But she is certainly one weird female. Not easy for the pastor.

Hi, Ine. I've known a couple of folks exactly like Darcy, if you can believe it. Regular folks on the surface, but hard as nails underneath. Thanks so much for your generous review! Warm regards, Bev

An Excellent bit of character exposure. I always wanted to write a character like Darcy Shaw, but I could never paint the picture as well as you have here. Nicely done.

This is very well written and grabs our attention straight off.

I'm glad I came across it. I like the way the father and the Darcy girl cross 'swors' during the dialogue and the sly methods she uses to get her way,

Alex.

Oh no she didn't! What a royal bit-h!!! Oh Bev, this was such a super chapter. It was so warm and sweet, the priest missing Debra as he did, the dog's behavior. At then, like a bucket of cold water dumped on our heads, enter (or rather, sprawl - LOL) the witch.

Exceptional. But what else is new? :)

It was a fun chapter to write. I know some women like Darcy and this is my little bit of 'revenge'. Glad you liked the chapter, my friend. Especially since you write 'baddies' so well! And thanks for the six stars. Always an honor coming from such a talanted writer. Hugs, Bev

A very well-written chapter and an excellent character sketch of Darcy. I hate her already. You are so artful the way you bring her in the door falling at Father Brian's feet (probably the only time she'll ever be on her knees) Her complaints about the door, the dog, her aunt, religion, the cold creepy place Father Brian calls home, and of course she just had to have her hazelnut coffee! I can't stand her.
I also learned a new word "cremains," a very clever combination. And lastly, Darcy manipulates Father Brian into picking up the tab for the luncheon. Did I mention that I hate her? Very artfully done, you should be proud.

Hi, conroy. I laughed the first time I heard them referred to as cremains. I agree - rather clever. Thanks so much for your super generous rating and words of encouragement. I'm honored and humbled. Warm regards, Bev

Oh my, Ms Darcy is not the type of relative I want around when I depart. Since I'm the youngest now, I do wonder at times who will be. I may end up with my niece after all. Maybe I better do some planning ahead. =} This as always is very well written, I see no errors and look forward to your next chapter. Well done friend, Rox

You know, Rox, I was thinking the same thing. I'm making sure I have a very good relationship with my nieces as I have no sons or daughters. Of course, everything Darcy is doing now has no effect on Debra and just shows she has no class LOL. Thanks, my friend, for your gracious review. Hugs, Bev

Charming relative! I'm glad she'll get the mass. So sad to think of leaving this world with nobody to care. I had forgotten about Debra so it's nice to get reacquainted with her story. You're still using "unto". Lol - I'll have to get used to it I guess. Another great chapter, Bev!
