My husband likes spiders but I am not too fond of them. This is an excellent tale and I like how you use native language,it adds to the poem.

Hi Kay,
I'm so slow at reviewing right now. Spending most of my free time with my friend at the hospital. She remains in critical condition. This is a wonderful poem, full of great imagery with an easy flow. And the artwork is perfect. (I do hate spiders) Hugs, Katz

Oh boy, reading this gave me the willies. I hate any spider, but the Black Widow and its cousin the Brown Recluse I hate most of all.
Your writing painted a wonderful picture of these nasties. and I could almost feel the pain of the bite.
Great job. Thanks for sharing.

G'day Ann, The only spider I like is a dead one! Everything that creeps and crawls in Oz is huge! Tanks for reading. Cheers, Kay.

Haha, cute. I enjoyed reading this in the slang. Sounds Irish to me. LOL. Great ending to this. I hate spiders and my daughter is terrified to even look at one in a photo. She screams at the top of her lungs. :) ~Yona

G'day Yona, We Aussies have our own language; spiders I hate, not as much as our snakes in abundance! Thanks for reading. :-D Kay.

We have those too... eeeew! I've found a few in our yard. Not happy about that. I commanded them to go away! :) I dislike both creatures. :) ~Yona

Hi K,
What a delightful poem and one that kept me smiling as I read your words. I abhor spiders but the personification of the one in your poem is so cute. I like your word selection and the dialect you used both of which makes this piece even more charming. The end is a killer...(pun unintended) Blessings, chey

Your knowledge of aboriginal language superimposed into black widow talk or (maybe words a ken to colloquial Australian?) beyond a spiders web gives your characters real life. I have encountered them and do not like these spiders although I once played with a tarantula. Thanks again for all your poetry and fruitful praise.

Hello friend Alan. Colloquial Australian would suit; we have our own slang (if I used language that we do every day - you would struggle to understand! Thanks so much for reading, glad you got a laugh - tarantula's live up to 30 years! Blessings, Kay.

Hullo Aussie ....
This is an all-round well-written and unusual work with a really surprise ending.
There is nothing to suggest changing and I thank you for sharing little little bit of Australian garden-talk with us.
Love from ... Nanette Mary.

Ohhhh NO I don't like spiders in any way. This is a very charming little poem about these distasteful little creatures. Very nicely done. By this afternoon my book will be up on amazon.com and then I can promote it here. It took me ten years and a river of tears was shed to pull it off. Without God's help it never would have happened. God loves you and I do too.
