'Surgical Words.' I agree wholeheartedly with you on this poem. Many people can use sharper words that cut deeper than a scalpel. Well done.

Words are use, for good or abuse...
This is a short poem that has a good thoughts to think about. The entire presentation is well thought out. Even the tile works in very well for the thoughts delivered... John

Yes, indeed, words incise. On the wall above my computer I have a framed cartoon - a knight in armor on a gleeful old horse, wielding a long pen like a lance. The caption repeats an old quote from a British author, 'The pen is mightier than the sword'.
Your verse says it very well. The dripping blood is just a bit unnerving, as usual. Be well.

Thanks very much, vapros, and I agree with English author Edward Bulwer-Lytton, who coined that phrase you mentioned, sometime in the 1800's, and I certainly agree with you, too!

Yes, I do so agree, words can cause more heartache, than
a smack...Those that do such things to other young people, are sincerely in need of help...Sadly we have to prepare our children to be able to love themselves, no matter what others say...there really should be something done about this kind of behavior..but I doubt there ever will be..
I certainly wish the young lady well, it's clear she has supportive parents.....That's such a very good thing..
Thanks for sharing this with us...the pictures, though disturbing, brings the problem clearly to our minds..It needed to be done..Good Luck in the contest,
Warmly,
Victoria

Thanks very much for this outstanding review, mrsmajor, and for understanding the true meaning behind the disturbing presentation, This type of thing must stop, and a great deal more attention should be drawn to it.
You are most welcome, we have to continue to speak about it, poems like this one certainly will help..
Hugs,
Victoria

A terrific 5/7/5.
Short and to the point. So very true. Sorry to hear about the bullying incident. We all have to stop and think before we speak. Your accomanying artworks are chilling as is the sound of dripping blood. The scene is set so well. Great impact created by italicizing the word 'precision.
Well done ~ Dean Kuch

Thanks, Connie. I wanted the presentation to be perfect, because I feel it's a common problem today that needs to be addressed.
Thank you, again...
