I really enjoyed your free verse about the
awakening of nature in spring.
Lovely imagery throughout to describe the
wonders of this change of season.
Best of luck in the contest.

I love the picture. The sights, sounds and smells of spring will soon overwhelm our senses. They will wake us up from the hibernation of winter, Color will bloom every where. Smells will travel to tickle our noses. New born life will announce its presence with a variety of noises. Great work.

A wonderful free verse poem about spring that covers a it very effectively in wonderful poetic detail. Love how you include more than plants and flowers. You have birds, animals, insects, and even fish. Great portrait you've painted here.
My favorite lines:
Dormant arousal stimulates renewal
A time clock begins to tick, tock, tick

Everything is awakening with the come of spring and is mating season of a lot of animals and we will be blessed with new life not to far into the future and we will see all the splendor of mother earth at her best, It like everything is stretching its arm out after a long nights sleep.

This free verse is well written. Its imagery is clear and vivid. The list of spring 'happenings' is well thought out and the rhythm of the free verse is smooth. Good job!

As a person who loves this time of year, you had me smiling with this, all the way until you mentioned the insects. That led me to thinking of butterflies at first, but, eventually, the pesky mosquitoes came to mind, and my smile fizzled. LOL
Still, a great poem. :)

love the breathless pace that runs through this free verse piece - things 'bursting' growing etc etc at a frenetic pace - yet it's also just one window in time, so gives us the glimpse of our lives passing, as does time, very very quickly! :)S
