Congratulations, so well deserved on this win..It does very much cover what most women love to do & some make their man into a companion to help them with choosing their wardrobe....Too bad, some women never catch on.. Fitting Torture, excellent title, along with picture.. Though, so humorous, indeed, this was.

Oh, come on, it's really not THAT bad!!! Is it???

I loved, loved, loved this! I took your advice and read it as quickly as possible. And it had me laughing like a hyena. I could picture the snarling dragon ladies glaring at you as if you were some sort of pervert, and sensed your relief when you found a kindred spirit. So tomorrow you get your reward and play golf with Rolf. Have fun - you earned it!

The artwork was a super choice!

I tried not to think of my poor husband who has had to put up with this on occasions. Although now he has wisened up and either lets me shop alone, or stays in the car and snoozes. He's such a patient fellow! :-)

This truly was excellent, and deserved the win. :-)

Thank you so much for the great review and the six shiny stars.

And yes, it is that bad and worse and most times I can't avoid it.

I could snooze in the car I suppose, but might end up like Rip Van Winkle.

Just a delightful, very funny poem - you definitely captured the theme of ... funny but not funny. The situation you describe in this well thought out, rhymed and metered poem, is one so many guys can relate to. I like how you ran the entire poem as one and didn't break it up into bite-sized chunks - quite effective that way.

Congratulations on winning the contest! Well done ... ;o)

I understand why it won, congratulations. A fun read and very well written rhyming couplets all the way kept a speed about itself naturally, unlike the gals doing the shopping.
Well done and thanks for the great read. Stay calm, Garth

I'm glad to see you won the contest with this one! I like the uniqe formating and suggestion to read it as fast as possible, it worked nicely. Congrats! I enjoyed much! Brian

good god man, I know exactly how you feel. the worst, of course, is the shoe store. love the .lines, " the boredom's grand, it's continental " and " i'd rather rest inside a tomb". burial - no exaggeration- would be more fun.

Now see, was that so bad to endure for your free day of golf? LOL I love the old biddies eyeing you like the you're the big bad wolf. I took your advice and read it as fast as I could, now I'm dizzy! Which is probably what you felt during this outing :0) Nicely done-
Kiki

This was indeed very funny. Your poem gave me quite a few laughs .... especially because it is true ... maybe a wee bit exaggerated ... none the less .... true. LOL

Very strong rhyming and wonderful flow to it all. A fun read from start to finish. Your accompanying photo is a scream too!

Good luck in the contest! You've got my vote! Now go play golf! :)

Delightful! A lot of thought went into this one and I couldn't wait to reach each new line. Most men hate to shop and you managed to get all their feelings into one poem. Best one I have read tonight. Good luck in the contest. Kudos
