You talk about the most compelling dilemma to occur in my lifetime. My mother explained it that we had to do it to end the war. The debate continues-whether it was necessary, or not. You write a good historical view of this tragedy. You do not take a stand for or against, but just present the facts. You did a good job in the use of the acrostic.

a solid acrostic for Little Boy and Fat Man
good use of enjambment to keep your thoughts flowing from line to line
you depict the president's reasoning behind these horrific bombings clearly
good use of "imperious" to convey point of view

This was a very creative idea that you had.. The poem is great and the wording, if not broken up, sounds as smart as any news broadcast or history summery. I think it's smart and creative, but is that ET at the end of the bridge?

No, not ET, but a victum caught in the blast and running from
the fallout. This is an actual picture from August 1945, posted on FanArtReview which I borrowed. teafor2

A sad accounting of historical fact. Well written and I couldn't find anything to suggest or correct. I do like acrostic poetry and this was a wonderful example of an excellent poem indeed.
Well done.

Dear Tea for Two: this is a wonderful writing that remembers the truth of the Enola Gay and wishes the world never had to suffer such shock...but power brings itself to the surface at the end of all things and so we go on in hope and hope and love: His Grayness; Vance

Nice work and a very clever structure. I recently visited Pearl Harbour in hawaii, I witnessed Harry Truman's signature on the Japanese Instrument of Surrender treaty aboard the USS Missouri. Very worthy subject matter.
well written, well done!
