I love that you wrote not just to honor the museums...but the docents and volunteers! Hooray for you....and your grandmother - who had the wisdom of our elders and recognized the Walter Museum as one of the top 5 museums in the country (for my money). :-)

I thank you very muc for your compliments and this review. I felt a need in today's society where the politicians have no conpunction about taking as much money in as they can, then spending it on projects that always shows ties or votes, and shortchanging those that add to society.

I think your mission is stated well here and will entice readers to keep reading about the museums you'll explain in Baltimore. Best wishes as your project moves forward.

This is great, Mike. I hope it motivates others to pay a museum a visit. It sure tempted me. I can only imagine what a nighttime security job in a museum would be like. I worked security for several years in the little town of Jean Lafitte (named for the pirate). My companions were very much alive with fur, feathers and scales. We learned to communicate quite well.

Wow! Thanks for sharing, as well the compliments. I worked during the day, but they had a night staff or people on call because of the fish. It is a wonderful place, but when I went back for the bio, a lot I had learned to loved had been removed like the Seal Harbor Cafe and outdoor seal tank where the Mayor was photographed in when the project wasn't completed in time. Hi Mike,

We have a three interesting museums here. Of course they highlight the old west with bronze pieces, artifacts and pictures. One has pictures and commentaries on the winter of 1949 which dropped 40 inches of snow and temps 40 below or more. I enjoyed reading this which you wrote so well....chey

I never made it to the museums out west, but love them and the history they hold, which is something I can identify with because of my life.

I enjoyed this review and thank you for it very much, Mike.

What an interesting and unusual article! I learned a lot from it, and I agree that our museums are precious resources which deserve preservation. Just a couple of small things - to go crazy is to "run amock", and dolphins (plural) doesn't take an apostrophe.

Four stars today, Mike, for your fervent appeal to the public for support of museums and landmark buildings and places. You are correct in noting the difficulties they face with funding. You have made your case with conviction and clarity. Best of luck, and be well.

I am very excited to read some of the details about the museums. I really enjoy museums too. I liked how you said things were "haunted," but more because of the meaning behind the item than some ghostly image. It is neat to think how some of these items have such nostalgic value and show our history and culture.

I thank you for the compliments and this review. I will enjoy highlighting some of what the museums have to offer, but I plan to mainly capture the feel that each museum has. Mike

I at first didn't think that this was an article that was for me. But then I read on and you got my interest. I have four small kids and the idea of a guide book and stories about different museums appeals to me. It makes me want to visit Baltimore! ;)

Wow! This is more a poetic work then a guide book, offering hints and feels that each museum contains. I do plan an information page for each. I thank you for the compliments and sharing with me in this reivew. Mike
