Hi Mike,

I really like this acrostic about Poe. His simple abode still remains in my memory and I am pleased you took pictures for me to see. Rhyming in the second and third verse serves to highlight your well chosen words, the flow is like fluid falling and the theme is wonderful. Well done and good luck in the contest....chey

With doing the photography, I was more like a fool on some poetic string and it was a day, I wasn't prepared for the experience. I am glad I was because at least until the fall, the Poe House remains closed, but supportive events go on.

I am heading for the wine tasting event this May, held at Windsor Hall (Poe's Grave is outside), possibly in the catacombs. They added, "To dress up, or not to dress up..." I asked them if this is a clothing optional event, and they added, "Uh humm, but to dress for sure!"

I loved this review and thank you for the compliments as well. This was for the FB Poe House and Museum contest and I didn't win, but was satisfied the winner deserved it. I figured this poem needs a second life as well. Appreciate the wishes, Mike.

Just out of curiosity, where is the Poe house? That would have been nice info in the notes. I liked the poem becaue Poe does bring that sense of mystery and suspense that could be lurking around every corner.

Love the question, as I am working on creating other poetry for all of Baltimore museums. The Poe House and Museum is located in Baltimore, Maryland at 203 Amity Street. At the present time it is closed as the city divested itself of the museum, but is set to reopen in the spring under the control of another museum, "B%O Railroad Museum." Poe's grave is not too far away from this area and that was where my profile picture was taken.

I enjoyed this review and thank you for it. I particularity like the mention of the mystery and suspense, as that became my experience in regards to Poe and Baltimore. Mike

That is cool. If I ever visit Baltumore I hope it will be open so I can see it.

If you come, you can always check online, and they also host occasional events. His grave is also located here at Windsor Hall .

A nice acrostic work done, there is good melody and concordance in depiction of the state of affairs and event related to the persona as if the whole gamut speaks all about the achievement and charismatic stand of the person in appreciation, a good clear voice about a biographical overview embankment flashed in each alpha.
