This is so funny, and I loved several of the sore spots of writers that you covered. It's fun that this begins with the glowing review of the new, aspiring writer. In turn, Kady gushes over Dennis's work. Great use of the periods in "But this story was. life. changing." Then Kady brings up the little matter of her poem being published without her permission, and things go downhill. Some of the insults hurled are really funny, as are the titles of the two writers' works. The book about adverbs is great. True point about FanStory reviewers being it for points and member dollars. Sure, Dennis is there to guide Kady, be her own Professor Higgins. He seems to be going through a lot of jealousy, though, and looks after himself first and foremost. judi

You got it, brother! You saw stuff I didn't but I still think are true. Can you believe some reviewers thought this was for real or weren't sure? Kcross11 is great but please don't tell her I said so, she'll use it somehow. The "little lady" packs a wallop! Thanks for your review! Dennis

Love it!!! Hugely entertaining banter. Full of tongues in checks- no reference to kissing scene, happy insults and great camaraderie. Well written, my friend!! Best, k

Hi there Deniz22
What a hoot! And so well written! You know, it could all be true, and that's what I like so much about it - a lot of it most likely is! Or at least something representative of what does go on behind the scenes at Fanstory. LOL. I even remember the site being used by a couple having an affair. They used PM's here to keep their partners unaware ... and eventually they left their partners to live happily ever after! (I'd like to think they still do!) PS- This is copyrighted! I enjoyed the banter, excellent writing, amusing writing and very fun to read. M.

Thank you very much for reading and commenting so generously. It wasn't easy for me, carrying Kady on my back to such a stellar review but it was worth it.

This was both well written and refreshing. I love the entire set up, the exchange of pleasantries, the sniping, the sulks.

You have a true talent for satire. I look forward to more fun works from your marvelous pen, or should that be keyboard

Is this for real, Dennis? Whether it is or isn't, it gave me more than a few chuckles. I felt like I was peeking in on two people's private conversations and enjoying the heck out of it. I like how it starts so amicably and goes downhill from there. I usually steer way from postings this long, but this one kept me going. Thanks for sharing; it was a joy to read!

I don't know whether anybody else can make head or tale about this scrap, but I sure cannot. I think I'm going to get rid of these two by giving this complaint a five. I hope they can sort it out when they see how generous I've been.

This is hilarious Dennis. From the title My Fan Lady(surely you haven't plagiarized here ;-)) right down to the pending law suit and copyrighted email. I love the format using two members communicating through email; their salutations degenerating from one of mutual admiration (ahem) to disdain with each passing email. Adding dates and time stamps would improve the format.

Couple of points:

"I'm giving you a six only with the regret that I can give no more."
We can kibosh that sentiment right now and may we never read it again. There is something more that can be given. It's called an MCP.

But lets (let's) look on the bright side!

"And as for my kissing scene, I want you to know a real kiss involves slobbering, saturating, and a whole lot of sogginess."
True! How terribly well written and romantic of you -- a man.

"my relationship 'opportunities are rapidly dwindling.' I'm sure it will clear your confusion up, as it's all based on real life."
LOL, oh so cruel.

"volley before I got through reading your last missile."
Missive would be the better word here, unless we are mixing metaphors. Are we?

"It is I who seek to shelter you from the hot sun of reality which is trying to expose your many faults to a critical world."
Ah, the overwhelming need of the vindictive and spurned to show the world what 'you are really like?!'

"I know your continuing decade long struggles even now with The Three Little Pigs issue."
I know your continuing decades-long struggle even now with... What the heck's up with the three little pigs? I thought they were all safe and sound by now.

Yes, Google can supply information, but it cannot provide the requisite intelligence and talent to weave facts together in beautiful word creations.
Desktop/google creations don't make the cookie cutter? What! You mean they lack depth and authenticity? Cluck, cluck, cluck.

"when in your opening, your protagonist was searching for a gas leak with a lighted match? "
Man Alive! So, that't the problem. Thanks for the tip man! I will stop doing this post haste.

This is the most refreshing thing I've read on site since yesterday. (which in itself was an anomaly) so keep 'em coming you two if it was indeed a collaborative effort.

Love it!
Gloria

"What the heck's up with the three little pigs? I thought they were all safe and sound by now." I see my work is not yet done;so many Eliza's and only one of me! However, one of me is enough, as many have previously pointed out. The 3 little pigs have often been used in different metaphorical ways ... "And as for my kissing scene, I want you to know a real kiss involves slobbering, saturating, and a whole lot of sogginess."
True! How terribly well written and romantic of you -- a man. "

Thank you, but I may have left out slathering and salivating? Thank you also for having the courage to point out Kady's errors. I can't count how many I had already dealt with before those tiny ones you caught slipped through my weary observation. :) Thanks! Dennis

Now, now my dear man. As I've said before, "This is no time for making enemies." :-) And, that, is a stolen quote.

What an interesting and amusing read. I'm sure the exchange was exasperating, but I think you'll agree it was also fun at times. Thanks for posting it.

This turned out amazing. Thanks be to kady, of course. Nice smooth intro dennis. Can't wait to see how it does, and your face when people realize I'm the victim.

Can you get into my portfolio (as you have gotten into my heart/head) and read the reviews? Or do I need to send them to you? So far any number of truly appreciative females are clamoring to be my next Eliza ... :) Glad you liked it. Notice no caps in your comments however. Already beginning the long slide downward without my constant influence ... sad.... Dennis

Oh no, I can see them ALL right here :) As well as your shameless flirting, as if these women want to get with such an egotistical Professor Higgins.
