I started smiling as soon as I saw the title because I knew it was about one of two little people. They grow up so fast. He has his momma's looks -- and vocabulary. Speaking of vocabulary, my little dumpling who is not yet four asked me, "Miss Jean, what does dehydrate mean?" The younger one who is "almost two" is now taking soccer lessons and becoming a star. Little does she know a seventy-something little old lady has been teacher her since she learned to walk.;-)

LOL. Yes, they do repeat things they've heard at the most inopportune times which can create some tense moments.
Children are like sponges. They absorb everything they hear at young ages. It gets a little better as they grow older, but then when you least expect it, they hit you with something you've said for their own benefit.
Gotta love them.

I can imagine the time and effort that you must have put into this one.
Keeping the rhyming and timing right on, nicely done.
Marg and I have been vacationing Horseshoe Valley Resort,Ontario in October
Georgian Manor Resort, Collingwood, Ontario November. Then topped it off by spending New Year's week in Branson Missouri.........Now I must get back to F.S.
for the rest of our Winter.
Another great poem. Keep up the good work. Ed

Wow! No truer words ever spoken. Your human tape recorder!
Fantastic and so spot on. And when they grow up? They still are recording every note and memory.
Just WOW, on this one.

You spell it out vividly in this wonderful write my friend.
Love the rhymes and the meter is quite smooth to the ear as well when spoken.
I bet it IS quite a gift, and a curse that he has the gift, especially when you say things you don't want repeated!
Lovely poem,
Curt
