A lovely head of a horse to complement your story. The story is a bit out of your usual comfort zone. I liked the mixture of spiritual and religious. Well done. Pity it could not enter the contest.

This is a compelling story. I wasn't familiar with it, but knowing that you always do fine research, I'm sure it's very accurate.
The scene you painted with your opening lines sounded like a horror story, and when he was blinded, it was.
A wonderful feel of the mix of fact and fantasy. Pagan amulets and laying on of hands.
You told it beautifully. It flowed from scene to scene and your dialogue was perfect.
I saw only one spag. I was so caught up in reading it that I wasn't really looking.

Hi, Donald. Thanks so much for reading. Apparently Paul was the name he was called when he went out among the gentiles - instead of the Hebrew Saul. At least, that's what I'm told.

The only thing I might mention is the POV shifting, but you may well have intended it, since it's done very smoothly.

Saul's name was not changed, which is Hebrew, he simply used the Roman counterpart which was Paul as he was preaching to the Gentiles. You took great artistic liberties, but you did not stray far from the story as told in Acts. Great job!

I found this interesting. I have read the Biblical account many times. I'm wondering what motivated you to write this? I think you did well in picturing a pronounced aspect of Paul's personality that made him a leader both as anti and the pro Christianity. Good job.
