Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant Idamarty! If this was in a contest I think it would have to be the winner. I love the way your poem unfolds the story of the fall from grace with such great imagery. You really portray Adam realising his sin and the results of it and nicely switch in the last 3 stanzas to the present day with the message of the gospel in the last 2:
"There is a light; radiant and resplendent
in all of His glory.
He came to pay the ultimate price
for our transgressions.
He is the sacrificial Lamb.
We are the lost sheep, He is our Shepherd.
We are the fallen, He is our Savior.
We were condemned to die,
He is the way to eternal life.
For He is truth.
He is Jesus Christ, the Son of God"
Wonderderful. This is a masterpiece!
(I wish I had a 6, no a 7!)
Thanks for sharing :)
Bless you,
Christine

Powerful retelling of this story from Adam's point of view, bringing the biblical version to new life. One of the better religious pieces I have read on this site.

A fine spiritual poem. Done with clear run of the first fatal consequence of man's muse to be equal to his creator: 'I took an ego trip,
believing, wanting to be like my maker,
perhaps greater'. Good work, nicely done.

Adam disobeyed God and ate from the forbidden fruit.
We are paying the consequences of his sin.God in His mercy sent His only begotten Son to die for us. Believing that Jesus is the son of God will grant us forgiveness of sins and eternal life. "For he is truth. He is Jesus Christ ,the Son of God." Well written and a good message for those who need the truth. The picture used is a perfect match for your poem.

I liked your poem. It was well written with truth but yet it was spoken in a level that wasn't boring or over preaching. Great job
Now I lay naked, exposed to myself, tainted,
blinded by his lies; a forgery of the divine image,
destined to become the dust from whence I came.
How many times have each of us felt like this at some point in our lives. Brilliant.

Very much enjoyed your biographical poem telling the story of Adam. I especially like the power and truth expressed in the final six lines. Well written with an important message.

You have placed on paper the true words sent to us to teach and explain what has taken place. Your choice of art and presentation were worthy of the six stars.

Hullo Idamarty ....
In this free-thought writing, you have gently traced the creation and fall of Adam brought about by his sin of
disobedience to His Creator - Almighty God.
Actually, there is much to think about and to
meditate on in the story of our First Parents - Adam and Eve. Today, among so many of the younger generation,
disobedience to God's explicit Laws seems to be normal
practise - for they believe they are the ones to decide how they should live their lives without any prescribed restrictions.
Thank you for sharing these thoughts with us.
Love from .... Nanette Mary.

Hi Nanette Mary,
I am so glad you enjoyed reading my free verse about the fall of Adam. You are so right about the younger generation. They don`t seem to follow any kind of laws except the ones they make up as life goes on. It`s a very scary place to live in these days and I must say a lot of the younger generation are pretty scary too. Thank you again...blessings.

This is a powerful poem that clearly establishes the fall of man, depicts the state of a sinful world, and just as clearly identifies the salvation of mankind. Nice.
