This is a unique and well-written poem on the concept of "the life one strives for is too often not as good as the one that is left behind". Excellent Work! Best Wishes, Todd

I like the message in the poem. There is no place like home. It makes the point that wherever we roam, looking for a better life, more excitement,we will see that "the grass is not greener." I glad he made it back home and was thankful for his "brown and ugly tree." Home.

This was written with a lot of wit, and it is entertaining to read. I like how it reminds us of the lesson that there is no place like home, even for an inchworm. I enjoyed this delightful read, and I'll stay away from Missouri, lol. :)

This is a great story with a strong moral. Sometimes I feel like that inchworm. The artwork caught my eyes as well. Delightful work in all accounts.

This is a very beautiful piece of writing; a superb fantasy story for younger minds. It is a perfect illustration of the adage that home is always the best. cheers

I can always "see" you performing/ reading this piece to a group of rapt little faces Eric! Your clear story-line makes it very appealing, with a logic to it that is effortless - easy for kids to follow. Well done! :)Sharyn

It was fun accompanying Mike on his trip to see the world wide. He sees and learns a lot, but he is most happy when one day he meets his friend Willie, and together they head for home again and Mike admits
I was so alone,
I'm glad to be home,
In this brown and ugly tree.
