Thank you so much, Jill, for this lovely review! I'm glad you liked this little poem. I just love everything about Christmas, just because it is about the birth of Jesus. It is funny how everyone smiles at Christmas time! Thank you again. xsx Sandra

A poem after my own heart.
Just where you get your ideas from I do not know, I just don't have your wealth of imagination!
A lovely story-poem which will appeal to children and adults, the message is integral to the story so there is no preaching or moralising.
Good rhyme and rhythm throughout, except you might like to try, "For Santa's asked me to find out", which scans a bit better.
Regards, Andrea

Great poem. It's more like a rhyming story, and that's what I loved about it. The story of Santa and the beliefs of the children were beautifully narrated in the form of a poem.

Dear Sandra,
A true Christmas message done up in a delightful poem. For the children to learn the true meaning of Christ's birth. Excellent rhyming and flow makes for an easy read.

I do love the poems you write for children. They are simple and direct and always very positive. This one is no exception. It has a lovely bounce to it and a delightful rhyme scheme. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

i totally agree with the message that you are trying to bring to the children. we are making our little stand for the meaning of xmas and have a 10$ limit on one present to bring to be put into a secret santa, and we reinforce the thought and getting together as a family to be 'present' with each other. angela59

That is such a good idea, Angela. Another friend of mine said that what they do is write everyones name on a slip of paper and put them in a jug, then each person takes one out and that is the person they buy the present for. I'm afraid in so many households the true meaning of Christmas is lost and that is so sad, it is all about, what am I going to get. Thank you so much for your lovely review and sharing your ideas about Christmas. I am so pleased you liked my story/poem. xsx Snadra
