Yes, I've been on fanstory for some years, and from a reasonably bright beginning I've experienced a load of varying levels, from one star, extending to 6 star awards, and have got used to the criticism, some had no idea what they were talking but were on a mission, well done Dennis, thank you dear friend, blessings Roy

Thanks Jay. I?ve been on FS quite a while and I remember your name. I just read your tower piece and it seems to be way over my head. That?s an uncomfortable feeling because I try very hard to get meanings, innuendos, nuances etc.

Hi-ya Dennis. I hope you weren't expecting something profound. It's hard to squeeze profundity into a 70-word container. It was simply the story of a young man (me) in the 50s, trying to convince himself he was doing his civil duty looking for unidentified flying objects when his real intent was waiting to hear his request being made on the local radio station. There was really no Kay. He was simply trying to get the announcer to spell out a famous 4-letter word without realizing it. I'll help you: iF yoU see Kay ... tell her I love her. Say the first part of that sentence out loud. In reality, the announcer did say it and didn't realize it until a lot of listeners called in, and then the announcer called me back and chewed me out.
So much for civil responsibility.
If you had understood it at the first reading, you would have been one out of 5 who got it out of nearly 30 reviwers.

Priceless. As I recall, you've written similar satirical pieces on reviews--as have I and many--no shortage of fodder--I've seen and had some real doozies. I love your collection!

No, no I'm not THAT Tom. I'm just an ordinary Tom. No I don't do anything other than what is prescribed, and I almost didn't take the pain pills I got, but I've never felt such pain before, so I'm in Funny Boy land right now.

Is today you had the surgery? I have friends who have had much pain after knee replacement. It makes me feel better that I didn't work harder when I was younger like they did.

No, I had it on Friday, but I'm trying to get every last ounce of sympathy I can wring out of people. That sucker really, really hurts. Thanks for the laugh, I think laughter is still the best medicine, at least until you're trying to get out of bed to pee and can't because of the pain. Then you get to be the subject of others mirth.
