Hi Jan. I enjoyed reading this anecdote. Sometimes things just seem to come together--with or without divine help. An entertaining account.

I've noted a few things that you may like to consider:

She and my ex were staying with my son, Dan[,] and daughter-in-law, Britany.

"Oh, dear Lord, why can't I take her? There has to be a way," I mused as I thought about the hard life she had growing up.
(If that is thought it should not be within quotation marks. Editors now recommend that thought be in the normal font you are using, particularly when it is first person POV.)

our mother/daughter vacation just turned into a "[girls'] vacation."

I posted a blog on Facebook about the amazing events that led to the four of us being able to take our magical [girls'] vacation,
(Surely it would not have been so magical if it was only one girl on vacation. :) )

felt God wanted them to contribute towards our "girl's vacation."
(Better to use italics or single quotes for emphasis not double quotes: ...our girls' vacation)

Hey Jan,
I'm not going to nit pic, didn't even think about it. I haven't been on here in some time and for some reason I picked today to take a look at what is going on. I have a tear in my eye from your story. I live in Florida and take the parks for granted becuase they are within an hour or two away, but still expensive. I am very happy you guys got to go together and have a great time. Awesome. I do remember when you sent your son to australia to spend time with his dad. Gosh, how time flys.

Thank you, Edward. She didn't know we were going. She'd only just arrived in the country a few days before and we hadn't told anyone in our extended family that we were going there. LOL. So glad you enjoyed reading this and I really appreciate the five stars.

What a wonderfully moving story Jan! I thoroughly enjoyed reading your story of miracles! Only small spag is in the use of the word "loan", which is a noun, not a verb - so you LEND people money, but you make a LOAN to someone.

Very heart warming. I know how it is to help others without asking to be paid in today's world. My wife and I have paid monies to friends and God always seems to reimburse us one way or the other when one does something from their heart and not because they think it's the right thing to do. That is where many go wrong. They have to question something out of the ordinary, before they actually do it.
