Thank you for the compliments and the sentiments. While I enjoyed the dancing, I felt it was best to keep her a more distant friend, but it doesn't help that this seems to happen a lot in my life. Still, I dance on, no matter the tempo and the turns.

Hi Mike,

You have written a great tribute to Eydie. I hope she is looking down and can read it too. I wonder how old she was when she passed away? I like the brevity of this piece and your descriptive word selection. Well done....chey

I felt she was fairly young, but some information otherwise' but nothing was published so I couldn't verify anything. Considering she left behind a 9 year old daughter, definitely too young.

I am a bit adgitated over the whole thing because there was a benefit concert involving several bands, that I would have supported and writen up, but no one kept their world and put me in a lurch.

I did enjoy your review and thank you for it and the compliments. Mike

Nice tribute to an old friend and dance partner. I wonder how long The Shamrock has been around. I used to hang out in some of the Baltimore bars 'way back in the 1960s. The name rings a bell but maybe it was Philadelphia or D.C.

If you went to the one in Baltimore, it would be located on Harford Road and it has been around at least in the seventies, as I road my bike with a friend, and dumpster dived to collect beer cans.

I was supposed to go to a tribute concert, but never got picked up as promised. To take the taxi would break the bank so me and the poem will have to be left out. But band people are like that.

I don't know her well, but she had a way of livening up a gig.

I thank you for the compliment and this review. Mike

This is a terrific poem, which does her justice. You bring her to readers as a being who loved life and the people around her. I enjoyed this piece.

Nicely done.

As music plays
the woman finds the beat
tempting others to move their feet
to time.

Mike this reminds me of a song from the group 'The Cult" and similar name I believe, a short and to the point tribute my friend.

EXCELLENT!

I really don't know the band, other that they got some air time, but very often good minds think a like. It is nice to hear something similar exists in music form.

I enjoyed this review and thank you for writing it as well the compliments. Mike

Your poem is a tribute to a dancing friend who passed away. This record plays in rhyme to the rhythm you conducted. Good job and my condolences.

I think you have weaved an excellent tribute to your friend Mike. I believe that she would be smiling. Your author notes described well the words of a lovely lady and in doing so your tribute clearly expressed them.

I totally agree with this poem as these days a person like that can be so rare. She died way before her time, and by a malidy which is all too common, yet one should laud the positive contributions they made in other's lives, even if only the ability to generate a smile.

Thank you very much for the compliments and this review. Mike
