I truly enjoyed this wonderful mermaid story/poem. I do wish they could make real contact though. I think she had true feelings for him. That was nice of her to send fish his way.

You have a great description of how the fisherman is calmed by the ocean. You have a picturesque presentation of the mermaid's interest in the man. How nice that she sends fish his way. She senses his determination and that's her way of helping him. It seems that she adores the man from afar, and he inspires her song. It's lovely that she returns to the beach from time to time in hopes of seeing him. Very lovely, and delightful portrayal of the mermaid. judi
