Mermaids this is a beautiful poem. I love its wistful quality and the lilt, joy and ease with which she interacts and wishes for her HU man that she must admire from afar.
Very cool indeed. Just one little nit:

vivid, easy to visual, mood-creating detail
excellent use of enjambment to enhance the flow of your lines
I love the alliterative line - world of watery thoughts
and the stanza about the woman-fish
What an evocative, romantic story :-) Brooke

What a charming story. I love the form. You did a fine job of knowing where to put spaces. First the emphasis on the lone, but contented fisherman, then the mermaid's infatuation and her gift: sending his fish. A six for this one.

Thank you for sharing your active imagination with us, even when it is spurred on by a challenging week at work. It is fascinating that your mermaid observes serenity in the man's fishing activities and finds herself captivated by him. -Joan

As long as you're not the fisherman catching and cooking a mermaid! just kidding...
A nice tale of mermaid in love, longing to be with the man...very romantic.
Nice job on this poem, very unique in the topic and appealing in the presentation.
