Anther very dark poem of what it could be like if you are wondering when you are standing in front of the doors of hell
These lines really got to me.
Taking a whiff of the sulfur that surrounds the mountain sanctuary,
I kneel before the doorway that may open by my request.

what is powerful about this, apart obviously from the images and dramatic vocabulary, is that if you read it out loud, it really reminds me of the vicar saying his stuff in a standard church of england communion service! spooky!

The "scorched earth" continues the image and also suggests man's failure to do more than destroy.
My favorite image was the "Gargoyles of Denial", those twisted faces delighting to disappoint.

I gave it only three stars, though, because as I read it the piece sounded rushed--like you were afraid of taking the time to play with structure, overall length and rhythm.
As you well know, poetry doesn't need to rhyme. But some of us do look for aliteration, assonance and cadence. I didn't hear the real "punch" of the piece coming through.
I believe you have the ability and a gift for message and theme. So kudos on that level!
Spend an afternoon playing with structure, cadence, repetition, alliteration and assonance. See what happens. I'm betting you'll be happier with the result.
