In this play we see how family conflict can sometimes cause rifts and have unforeseen consequences. I was however, not fully convinced as to what the fate of mother should be. Should she be institutionalized permanently or allowed to remain in her own home perhaps with part-time supervision? This may be the author's intention. The format is spot-on but I'm wondering if expanding this to have all parts played by separate actors might make it flow better. Just a thought. Good job.

There's room for workshopping a script always Louise!

You really create that effect of being in a theatre- especially with those blackouts! Good job, it was realistic enough!

You made me cry with this one, really cry. I kind of knew where it was going and I was holding my breath that it would work out.
You laid a few ghosts to rest, and kind of made your peace. Your mother had a happy memory to hang on to, and thank God for an OT with some commonsense.
Lots of ebb and flow again, your sisters make a good contrast team, and some of your comments are sheer black comedy,
"I got off the game board. 7000 miles is just the right distance away".
Fantastic piece of theatre, well done, AGAIN!

What a great story this is. It must be wonderful to see it acted out by you. Amazing what an 82 year old lady can to, isn't it?

oh yeah!!! this story is pretty close to home and yes, I'm good at the theatre bit too. Always great fun to hear a "hush" in the audience, and know you have their focus. Thx Gungalo! S

I like Mrs. Grey. She seems feisty. Great job with this piece. It was lengthier than most of your others, which I enjoyed.

It's a six! Maybe because I can see over the horizon and fear the day, although my children say "no nursling home for you" I know that day could come when they can't care for me. I plan to avoid designer drugs and live out my life naturally and pray I die in my own bed some night peacefully not causing my children any trouble. So, Thanks for this script. It is the first I have perused. I enjoyed. Nancy

Good for you Nancy (and for me!) My plan too! And SO glad you tackled a script! (it's hard to get them read because people are unfamiliar with the format - so double blessings!)
Best wishes, and much much appreciated!

Well this was stunning visionary :)
i loved it from start to finish
as well as tucking in her metaphorical tail..lol
as well as your mother bitching those people
out wanting in her house ... closing was excellent ... a.wave goodbye
and can't wait for your next elegant ink spilling
