This is terrific, my kind of poetry, loud, jarring, and perfectly rhymed. I found it fun to read out loud, here in my inner sanctum. Nice job...good luck in the contest.

a Cacophony poem can be truly fun at least to the reader and in my case the reviewer. i remember those days we paid a quarter to be dropped off and see a movie, popcorn and a candy bar for a nickel and a soda for a dime. Good times revisited.

Poet - I love your Cacophony Poem. The words you used in it were just perfect. It sounds like a fun style to write. I just may have to try writing one. The best to you in the contest. Kat

The poem brings back memories of the matinees on Saturday, when I was a kid. The westerns were each weeks treat. Those were the days when the cowboy loved his horse more than the women. It is an excellent read.

I know what you mean, Curtis. Those matinees were the high point of every week. I'm glad I could bring them back for you.
Thanks so much. X

Saturday Morning Pictures, Hopalong Cassidy, Roy Rogers and George Reeves as the one and only Superman IMHO. Old Mother Riley, Laurel and Hardy, Abbot and Costello. The Sing a-longs "We come along on Saturday Morning greeting everybody with a smile"
You got me on a roll here, your contest entry is so good that this short comment I was going to make - grew.
Good luck in the contest and sorry to bore - your fault LOL - Dinah

I remember my little brother pulling his coat over his head rather than watch that kiss. What a hoot! You bring back the fun and excitement of the Saturday afternoon matinee, X. I can feel my shoes sticking to the floor and smell the popcorn while the sounds of a great western (they were all great) fill the theater. A fun write! :) Nancy

Nancy, thank you for the magic 6. Yes, the sticky floor! Good catch. And the theaters were grand then, too. What a great time to be a kid. Thank you again. X
