This is a terrific story and verrry well told in good rhyme and meter.

No danglin' Ipod gizmos, << Apple spells its products with a lowercase i... such as imac, iphone, ipad, etc... so change that capital I on ipod.

Utter brilliance. Loved the use of the vernacular, here. I wouldn't normal read long poems, but this was so absorbing and entertaining. I loved the last line! Silly old fool. Very well done

Excellent job, Steve. Great story, great telling. But I'll hate you if you win (for a little while, at least).
There's something very Tom Sawyer about this. Naturally, I saw the denoument coming, but that didn't hapmper my enjoyment in the least. There's a Tall-Tale/Campfire contest coming--are you sure you wouldn't rather switch over to that one?
