This was a very engaging poem that I believe could easily be adapted into a feature length novel. It has everything you need. I still enjoyed it as a poem too though. Great pacing and i was hooked from the very beginning

Loved this ghost story. My dad used to tell stories like this when I was a kid. Oh, the power of the imagination. I laughed at the conclusion of the tale. Best story-in-a-poem I've read so far. Loved the vernacular.
Some of your verses read smoother than others, but they all work, in my inexpert opinion.

The poem was well constructed and carried a nice cadence throughout with good rhyme choices. You should be proud of this offering and despite its length was an easy read.

That's a great (if a tad long) story told in a poem. You're obviously from the UK, with some of the colloquialisms you've used (loony bin, etc), I was worried I wouldn't understand some of them when I read your author notes, but just smiled as I read. Great quatrains and rhyme scheme used to tell your story, which I enjoyed. Thanks

ha ha..... outstanding effort.... you made me smile.... the flow of the words was too good..... rhyming was awesome, our choice of words were good too.... but the best part of the poem was the story you narrated through it.... its really a good one and funny too.....:)

This deserves a 6 but I don't have one to give I'm afraid. This was a terrific story and a similar one I have heard before but not nearly a good a telling as this one, I just loved it, the voice was brilliant and I thank you so much for the smile on my face this morning - Dinah

The rhymes are simple, but they are perfect for the piece...I loved it. I felt for a second I was at a campfire myself, listening to it... The scariest part? The phone on the wall and no internet verses, without a doubt...
