HI! Honeycomb.You pose a question that has probably tormented writers over the years.But have you considered that , in your case, it is your Muse who is amusing herself and teasing you by invading your dreams and putting the ideas into your head? Just a thought! wiljacro.

I suspect it is reviewing other peoples poems all day every day. I totally live poetry so I am tucking away words and getting inspiration from them don't you think? Thanks for the review! Honeycomb

Wonderful poem Nancy. More or less I can relate this.
When my father died many years ago I wrote poems as a process to deal with it. I had only to sit down with pen and paper and poems flowed out of my pen... No idea where it came from.

Light and whimsical, fun to read. It is true the ideas have to come from somewhere. Possibly last 2 stanza, "tell" should be "till" not sure, enjoyed. Good rhyme and flow.

Nancy, This poem is a bit different than your usual style. The presentation is perfect for the composition. I often wonder where dreams come from and what they have to do with my life. Yu should enter this into a contest. I wish I woke up in the mornings with the same luck as you. All I've had as far as luck is writers block....it sucks!

I know. I have experienced that a few times. I think I have this gift because I eat sleep and live poems. My mind is geared that way.I often use art as an inspiration . Thank you for the review. Nancy
