Lexi is so lucky to have a grandma who is wise enough to capture all these wonderful things she does. When she has children of her she will really appreciate it.

Hi Rdfrdmom2
Kids can be hilarious -especially when they pick up on something like this. The young lady sounds like a great little girl and obviously the apple of her parents - and your - eyes.
I hope she appreciates these letters and poems one day.

Ah, the grandkids are just the best, huh? With your own kids, at least for me, I was so nervous about what I did, was I right, all that insecurity stuff. By the time the grannies come along, it's old hat.
You just relax. Reminds me of the early years with my Shane.
Great job,
Hugs,
GAyle

Jan, I have to wonder how old Lexi is. You may have already said this in earlier works, but my time on FS is so limited right now,I probably missed that info. What a cute little girl she must be. Yeah, kids are good at picking up what the grown-ups say and then giving it back to us, plus some! Fun to read, she sounds like a live wire!!! xxSusan

Oh, I remember those days with my kids - we would visit my family in PA from New Haven, and I would so be looking forward to my children's showing off the new skills I had been bragging about in every phone call. Of course, they would display whatever skill the entire car ride home, and then they would act as if they had no idea what I was asking them to do the second a relative showed up. LOL
I bet you are a silly, silly nanny too LOL
Oh, this story is just too precious :-)
what we say to you, or it just might - add comma
This is a delightful letter, Jan, one she is sure to cherish :-) Brooke

that's so cute, jan. i can feel obvious love and pride in your words here. she's blessed to have a grandma who can write about her! :)
i think children are at their cutest when they start learning to talk. i miss that parts of my four kids in my life. one of them talked earlier than the rest, but with funny pronounciation. till today we still laugh when talking about his toddler's talk.

A teacher too wise to learn from students is too ignorant to teach. Life goes on. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

To the best of my knowledge it's original. Yes, you have my permission with footnote directing it as my quote. Charlie
