yeah you're right about the category thing .. But I'm new and I'm really confused about categories , you see that's the only free thing I can use .. I'm not looking for winning but to see what people thinks about my work . :)

I'm new here too, just joined a few days ago. Check out different contests everyday, looks like they have free contests often on all kinds of subjects. But when you post your work in whe wrong contest category, it hard to vote. Hope it's helps. Good luck

I was a bit confused by the category you entered this in..at the top of the page it is entered into the 5-7-5 poetry contest. So, you might want to go back and edit and select more of the non-fiction selection for this one. I think the points you make here are very good ones. I think alot of what we engage in on a day to day basis is not reality. We have alot of reality tv, but does it really reflect what 'real' life is like? For example, 'The Kardashians', is that real life? I don't have a life anything like theirs.
There is something about fairy tales, though, that for some reason, really do speak to all generations. I don't see us giving them up too fast. There is a glimmer of 'hope' in each one. I find it very much like a boy/girl starting kindegarten. Learning colors, playing games, learning numbers..all that is so much fun..and then, it's over, and the math gets tougher, and the colors have to be arranged into something called art that has to be graded. Life is like that, I guess.
I would say, go back over what you have written here, read it outloud to yourself and see if you have any places where you can shorten it up a bit. Your points are good, just don't let them get lost in words that maybe you could delete. People like short and to the point these days. Nice beginning here though. So, does this really mean I won't get a Prince Charming after all? I didn't with my first marriage..was holding out hope...:)

yeah you're right about your first point .. But I'm new and I'm really confused about categories , you see that's the only free thing I can use .. I'm not looking for winning but to see what people thinks about my works . Specially when you read something like you're opinion , I don't know you so you gave your true opinion without pretending or acting to avoid hurting my feeling, and to be honest with you, I lOVE THAT ! :)
I also agree with shorten part, I repeated many lines but this is the longest thing I ever wrote .. And I'm not thinking about changing anything even if it contains mistakes .. But I'd like to learn to do better next time :)
you're right about you said about kids and kindergarten .. Fairy tales are like that, they show us that life is easy and happy endings are always there, but we should teach them how hard life can gets, for me I never met that hero - that every single fairy tale talks about- I wish he/she exist but nop , everyone cares about himself in the end ! Also good deeds are always miss understood , you do the right things but you get punish in real life .. And that's how fairy tales tells nothing about the real world we're living in !
And I'm sure you deserve to have your prince charming , and I really wish you will , but you have to search harder .. And not to expect that he'll be a prince .. coz that will never happen ;)

I never want to hurt feelings..that is not why I am here..I figure if someone has taken the time to pen something, they deserve a review that builds them up..not tear them down. When I give suggestions..that is all they are..you are the author, so it's up to you to decide whether you go with it or not. This is a really good website..make good use of it.
