What an interesting concept - shape poems. That's the first I heard of it and seen your lovely version. The stanzas flow as beautifully as birds gliding. The vision of blue against white with shapes of birds flying and the poem within them - how unique and creative. I thank you for sharing this delightful effort. Much luck in the contest.

I have never heard of a shape poem but this poem is really good, the way it is set out is very different it draws the reader in more good job

It is a great visual, sort of a mantle for the poem. The poem too is visual, gracefull, as elegant as migrating birds silently winging overhead.

Although not a great fan of shaped poetry, I can see why your aim to create something different is so achievable. I had no trouble equating your mustache bows with your vision. I wonder if the asterisks representing the birds might look better in black with just the words in white. A nice job. Thanks Peter

I wanted the whole bird to be white so that's why the asterisks are that color. Sorry you didn't fully enjoy this, but it's to be expected. Thanks for stopping by to review! :o) Helvi
