Hi Michael...thanks! How right you are. The truckers today tho, are a bunch of deputies. Seriously. They are required by law to do cop work if asked. Since 911. Our country is a bunch of spies and all it's done is turn us against each other. But that's the whole idea. Divided we fall. United we would stand. See?? Design. Baa baa black sheep have you any wool?? LOL! We probably aren't supposed to use that phrase anymore either! Anyway, thank you for a kind review! Hugs to you!! Susan

Hi Susan,
This is a creepy story...I assume the truck driver is a killer, which makes it even more creepy. Your last paragraph is chilling and spine tingling. You are such a good story teller and you never disappoint me. Well done and good luck in the contest....blessings, chey

Hi Marcia! Thank you for the enthusiastic note...I'm just glad you enjoyed this creepy ride. Hope you are healed and feeling good. I remember in my forties when pain began to creep into my life...I always thought it would get better. Wrong. It's just a downhill slide. SO many things doctors just can't fix. xoxo. Suse

this is very well written, susan, you did a great job writing this flash fiction about the man who took the lives of many girls and the mountain hid their bodies. great imagery, should be He could not afford instead of he could not afford. good luck in the contest

Very descriptive writing filled with suspense. Seems such a sad ending to this trucker's tale but perhaps this is the way of the road that we don't so often hear about. For sure this short story gives us a graphic glimpse into the life of a trucker.

Chilling..that is the word that comes to mind as I finished this storyline. I guess if it seems real, then that means you wrote it out just like it could happen, so you captured it on paper. The only thing I saw was after the word DOT. I think you need a period there and then capitalize the 'h' in He.

A truck driving serial killer makes for quite a story. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for an interesting read.

HI Charlie! This could have been really long, but I'm glad it isn't. I'm very glad you read for me and thank you C. I guess I'm going to have to move to Arizona...it's down in the forties here again. I'm really really sick of this silly weather. :/ Susan
-
You're welcome, Susan. Arizona has five different life zones from Lower Desert to Canadian life zone. I live in the upper desert zone. twelve degrees to 102 degrees. Usually our winter nights are in the twenties and summer nights are in the sixties.

Well, that sounds too much like Indiana! :D It really does...so. Let's see. I know. I'll go to Hawaii?? Where a gallon of milk is 8.00? Lol! :) S.
-
Death Valley is less than 300 miles away. I hear it never snows there. We get appx. 8 inches of snow a year. It seldom last a day.-
-
Indiana weather is ninety miles to the north. (LOL)
-
Yes, you're going by latitude and/or? longitude...I feel like I'm in Siberia compared to southern Indiana. A whole 'nother place! And how odd that Death Valley is so close and it gets that cold where you are. C, when it snows here, usually, it stays on the ground until April or even early May. :/ I've never heard the term 'life zones' ... interesting! S.

We go from 1000 feet above sea level to 12,000 feet above sea level.

Well...hmmm....that was rather dark. haha. I enjoyed the read, because it was so descriptive and nicely written, but still leaves a nasty taste in the head.

Hi Modee! Oh good!! :)) I've succeeded then! That's the best compliment Modee! Honest...if you go away saying 'yuck' or ... then mission accomplished. Wow! Thank you very much. I appreciate that! Remember it's just a story. Though, in real life. Well, sorry, I'll shut up. hug! Susan
