I like this poem very much. It shows good imagination and is a great poem for children. My only comment, if you are writing for children, is that the lines are too long. You will loose children with such long lines. Consider this:

Why the grass is called green
And a rose is called red.

Very nice. The poem read well to this reader. It reminded me as a child when I used to live in a resort village. A beraggled but loving German nanny when asked why? Just once would only reply "Y is a crooked letter that you can't make strait. I t drove us nuts be we never asked Doris why anymore
