I just hate waiting in hospitals. You captured the stress and frustrations very well for the people who can only pace the floor outside.

Barbara, good chapter. My dad had to have a spleenectomy from an industrial accident. He did really good and I know a person can live without a spleen. I hope the code blue is for another patient.

I like how you interject Troy's inner thoughts along with the spoken dialogue.
A code blue in recovery - you are making me very nervous. You've done an excellent job of making me care about Anna and Troy - so when she is in danger, I actually worry about her :-) Brooke

The picture Brian painted is perfect for this chapter. A code in the recovery room can't be good, I just hope it isn't Anna who is in trouble. She has been through so much and I wonder if she has the strength to fight for her life. Any time the belly is opened it is difficult to endure the pain and pain killers just take the edge off. This is a good chapter that leaves me wanting more! Blessings, chey

This was excellent Barbara, truly had me almost acting like Troy. You grabbed me early in this post and I couldn't stop reading it, which meant I wasn't really reviewing it:) But more just caught up in the story itself.
On the second read I found nothing that needed any work. It's a strong post from beginning to end.
I enjoyed reading this one....now I'm still hanging onto the cliff hanger at the end.
