Thanks so much for your time and lovely review. Have a nice Sunday and take care, Ine. No I don't choose this very often, but try to vary as much as I can.

Ohhhhh. You made Dracula sound so romantic and the lady that he loved to be his for all time. I loved your picture and your words. Blessings Ine.

Ina,
Dracula sucks, pun intended. Your Minuet poem is astutely written with superb imagery. There is a strong rhythmic cadence to your Minuet style poem. Your Minuet is in very fine form with great rhyme and meter. You used very good metaphor usage and excellent alliteration usage with the S wordd in your poem. I like your third stanza the best:
"Accept my kiss, then come with me
Stay young, be free
Though still a slave -
To blood, and grave."
Comments: I like the originality of using a Minuet with iambic rhythmic usage. I'd recommend your delightful Minuete poem to other readers. Awesome day to you & that's my 2 cents. Oops...The art work is priceless you used. A tornado hit in west Oklahoma last night killing five people in Woodward, Oklahoma. Let's pray for those who lost loved ones & lost their homes.
Melissa.

I really like this poem. I've no clue of meter or couplets, only what I like. :) I like the art you've chosen to display your work. My favorite lines are the first stanza. :)
Thank you for posting.

Your minute poem of sixty syllables pattered in 8/4/4/4 puts you back ito the groove. Dracula seems to have no remorse for a woman to come to him on her own volition. Slave to blood and grave it is,

Not as well versed on this technical style or form. But you penned it well when I see what the form is supposed to hold.

"Accept my kiss, then come with me
Stay young, be free
Though still a slave -
To blood, and grave" // This was a powerful descriptive stanza. Penned well, and it made me shiver, so you got the emotion of emptiness/loss/death within it.

Thanks for sharing.

I have heard it said that Dracula was the grandfather of the vampiric world. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words.

Creepy picture, Ine. Can you believe we actually paid money to watch that stuff? An excellent minute poem makes a perfect caption and the picture a perfect illustration of your poem. Well done. :) Nancy

This was an entertaining piece. I used to love watching Bella La Gossi, Lon Chaney etc in the B&W horror classics. About the only reason I miss having a TV is there used to be Sunday afternoon matinee's of old movies.

Thanks so much for your time and lovely review. Have a nice Sunday and take care, Ine. Do you not want a TV or is money the issue?

My TV broke in 2007, I just never replaced it. At the time we couldn't afford the expense of cable and my kids preferred the Internet over TV. Everyone actually got used to not watching TV. I really don't miss it often. I used to watch news a lot and it depressed me. I'm better off without it.

The internet overtook it. We watch the news and some films.

I foresee TV evolving into something very different than it was in the past of even what it is now. I guess maybe my family and I were the first to realize life without TV isn't so bad.
