A good chapter. You have made a good job of letting the reader know the character, Dot Minski, by her body language and the way she speaks of different things. A nice cliff-hanger, making the reader wonder what 'the secret' the victim had.

This was a very interesting chapter. Your descriptions using most of the senses is good. You draw the reader right in and sitting beside the detective while the interview is underway. Loved the way you developed Dot. But no great progress was made with this old girl and the murder. lol. Well written. I enjoyed. luv jada

I thought a six was appropriate here. I enjoyed reading it, the descriptions were excellent and the dialogue and the responses from the detective, spot on.
I've been in homes like this and met similar characters - so there was a spark of recognition!

My dad used to clean carpets for a living - he said cat smell was impossible to get out of carpeting. I don't dislike cats, just very allergic.
