A very interesting commentary about the sunset. I like the way you personify the day and sun as she and he.
I think the sunset is like a parable about life. No matter how much death is all around us, life always goes on.

Saved a six just for you but hate to say that the site still wouldn't cooperate; a perfect ten plus poem my friend, unique/original concept that you captured here in nature's cycle, what great imagination/creativity you are blessed with, thank you for the delightful read.

Hi Pearly One,
Yes! For certain sure Rags Auggie's sunset photo is glorious and it is well suited to your glorious sunset thoughts. I love how you personified sunset and gave it a special character... I smiled to think day has a shop... and in the morning she opens it up and in the evening closes it down. Such a charming thought. Hugs, W ^-^

Hi Brooke, I love the personification of of Day and night in this one. It brings a whole different flavor to the piece and makes your reader participate in the reading as though it would be rude not to listen...strange the things we get from each other's writings isn't it. Loved it. xoxo deborah

Brooke,
I love your thought of how day closed up its shop each night.

And how the sun gives out its full glory with such a beautiful sky until it shines another day
Gert

The sun does seem to settle on the horizon/shelf for a bit before he slithers off.. When I was small I used enjoy making my very own crimson ink from berries:
'He signs his name in crimson ink
Distilled from crimson berry
A proclamation to us all
He'll be rising bright and merry'
HA! HA!

when I was small i too used like signing my name in crimson ink
