This is a very well written chapter using many of our sense to bring the action alive, and much closer. By revealing James thoughts and emotions you pulled me into the story until I was fervently hoping for a good report from the Vet.
Liked the description of the vet, not typical of the type who would be there in an Alaskan setting.
Good writing, irish

This is absolutely superb writing, Alaskastory. I admire anyone that can write young adult fiction with this kind of mastery. Your prose is clean and tight. Nothing is wasted, here. Superb story-telling skills and creation of characters that spark sympathy and interest. I will definitely keep following this story! Warm regards, Bev

My first read of your story and I'm hooked. I live in a city in a land down under where snow is rare thus stories of dogs and sleds and snow attract me. Oh! how dogs are so relied on and what wonderful workers and companions they are. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Alaskastory, I was simply amazed with the story. Can't wait to read more. This is new reading for me, as I have never ventured into Alaskan territory, really a shame since I am Canadian. Thank-you for the wonderful read and picture, I am looking forward to reading more of your work. Hope you don't mind if I join your fan club. Thank-you, turtledove :)

It is an impressive and amusing chapter on animal lovers, particularly for domestic animals like dogs. Like human being animals have the right to enjoy life through various means, may be events like dogs race being organized by "North American Junior Championship Race" The author has nicely narrated about the health care of the dogs after the participation in the race was finished. Flow of facts was maintained steadily. Once the reader start the story feels to finish, with out stop.
