I just love sparrows. When my daughter was a toddler we used to sit on a patio and throw french fries to them. I love all the birds you mentioned in the poem. How empty our world would be without them. LoL Vonnie

The six stars came through. You made my day, I had a very tough day at work and your encouraging words mean much to mean. Thanks again. Elaine

Hello Mermaids yes a very different Easter poem but I liked the poetic way to have fun at the zoo. Smiles to these lines--
a happy sparrow greets
visitors
the otter waits patiently
for the day to begin
chocolate eggs for humans

Cute artwork. Refreshing since it is different for an Easter poem. It's an observation poem. Lots happening. I would have liked to see punctuation and some caps. (upper case) Wondering why you named the otter Fred. I would suggest a name that begins with O, like Okie or Ozzie.

Great enjoyment of spring expressed in your poem, mermaids. The animals seem to realize that spring has come. It's interesting that the sparrow brings the message of spring to the other animals. It's neat that you name the otter. It helps personalize him. The beavers and bears sense the coming of spring, and the actions of all the animals are cute. There's a feeling of celebration. judi

I like this, it would be great turned into a children's book. I like how Fred seems to be the keeper of all the other animals. I feel the real message here is not Easter, but the welcome of spring.
