Yes the deceiver is great his power is mighty, but the one who has allowed him his time, his day on earth is even more powerful. This almighty one, this one with the real power loves you so of whom should you be afraid? Trust in God always, never fear, never waver for he has the power to save and to deliver you from anything. This is a wonderful work of faith.

Yes the deceiver is great his power is mighty, but the one who has allowed him his time, his day on earth is even more powerful. Oh this is great. I loved:
1)I looked up from the deep black pit and saw a ray of light.
Hope!
2)Was the hope I had been searching for, the answer I could trust.
I read through the Gospels, every word every part,
And felt a seed of faith become planted in my heart.
Though small as a mustard seed it has a mighty power,
It smashes down my strongholds, so I no longer cower.
Delivering
Freeing
Empowering
Like a Carmen song, I loved the power written there that was coming up and out!
3)The deceiver lives to sever you from God and living life,
To beat you down into the ground with spikes of venomous strife.
But when he comes to attack you if you don`t want to lose,
A tiny seed of faith in His word is the weapon you must use.
Really the breakthrough! Yes! It's here! AMEN!
I loved it and felt the power and deliverance from the poem rising up and out.
Good job.
I suffer with depression so I relate to this poem very well.
I started this contest because I was in need of hearing others tell of their victories and how they won.
It has been so rewarding reading everyone's comments.

A poem of affirmation or re-birth. A wiser Phoenix rises from the ashes. Lines written with indeterminate lengths but with good rhyming couplets. Fairly good rhythm but some of the lines are convoluted. All in all a powerful and dramatic story. A good write. Good luck in the contest.
