This was great. Your Dad sounds like quite a character,in good way of course. Loved the story of the Swede, and isn't that so typical of us all. Great story and thanks for sharing you Dad's amusing quirks with us.

Thank you for sharing such a personal story about your Dad. He sounds like a hoot and now I know where you get some of your fire! Your Dad is gorgeous. Ginger

A refreshingly new, strange, totally believable and funny short story. Very cool, smart and well written. It is amazing how one person, in your case dad, can stay with the inner left and right brain for ever due to their potency and charisma. You are a lucky person to have or had a father like this. I was instantly reminded of Chiko Marks from the old hilarious film 'The Marx Brothers' in a day at the races. "Geta your tootsie, fruitsie, iceacream". Of course your dad was better looking than Chiko. I like this a lot, especially the 'stooped' bit....funnyyyyyyyyy.

Thanks, jimbo for your great review. My dad was my hero. I love to use his stooped joke line. Just like me, it goes over people's heads. Dad( his ghost at least) thanks you for the six star rating. You're a nugget pugget.

Your dad sounds like quite a character, as well as the kind of teacher everyone in junior high school would love. I loved the humor of the whole piece and the joke at the end.

It's nice that you want to write a biography about your father. It is a real testament to love for him.

That a funny story at the end.

Thanks, tm. I see you're a newcomer so I'll update you on rules of reviewing. Four stars means it needs improvement and reviewer is suppose to suggest what needs changing. This helps the writer to hone his skills.

Aw!!! I loved this! He was very very handsome, but more importantly how piece describes his intelligence, humor, love for his family, skill as a teacher. I love the part about the family watching TV together, same for me. I have often wanted to write about my father, and my mother, as they both had interesting backgrounds. You are inspiring me here. That is what writing is all about. If you can capture the reader with your story, entertain and delight them, that is wonderful. If it also inspires another writer, well that is just cream, and a testament to your talent. Love the Swede with the handle. Thank you.

Such a silly story, but I use the punchline still. I'm always thrilled to hear that I inspired a writer. Go for it, sweetie.
