Hi Barbara:)
I hope Sam enjoys his cheeseburger. Great disguise for a PI.

Now that the stalker with the loud muffler has been
identified, it should be easy to get him back in jail. Surely he is violating a parole. Since Slim is now a known associate of Anna's ex husband, assault charges should get him out of the way. I hope that Anna can start to relax more.

I noted only one small nit:

This is a short, but important post.

Love and Irish hugs,

Roger With [a] smile she watched Mr. Keller leave her office. {I think you need the article "a".}

Oh, how terrible that the man who's been trailing her is a dangerous criminal associate of Bobby. That certainly confirms all their worst suspicions. Brooke

a great chapter, Barbara..
I feel so sorry for Anna,
as she no sooner leaps over
one hurdle and there's another
threatening her future - poor
woman.

Thank goodness she's found a friend in Troy.. a comfort.

I wonder if Everett found out who owns the truck with the loud muffler. - is this as a question to herself... (the ?)

Very fast-paced and suspenseful, barbara. The dialogue is great, and the interaction with the boss is good. Shows Anna as a competent person after all she's been through. Tracking down the owner of the truck is a good step in discovering who's behind the threats to Anna. Slim's supposed to be in jail, but sounds like he's out. Maybe he's conspiring with Anna's ex and his family. judi

I figured the jerk causes the trouble was a friend or relative. I still think the mother-in-law is probably paying him though.

Notes:

I have made the changes. I do have a question, one of my writing books say to write time as numbers. Now what do I do? Thank you for the kind review.

I worded for Random House for 20+ years and have only been retired for 4. The rule there was write it out unless using military time. Please don't tell others I'm an editor. I'm already swamped with requests to review book. Thanks.

Hi Barbara,

Good development of the story and a new threat cleverly introduced. Looks like the cousin is a wanted man on the run.

Nicely developed.

Another great chapter. After such a long time they finally find a photo to show Anna of the one following her and worse he is a close friend of Bobby's cousin, supposed to be in jail for a serious offense. Can't wait for the next chapter.

I liked this. The plot thickens and now Anna's nerves will take a bashing with this Slim out and about. How come we never met Sam - or is he the beggar. Bet he is.
Good progress here. Troy has all the patience in the world. Where do you find men like him??? lol. luv jada

Hello Barb twice you brought up the sighting of the down and out homeless man.
Make me very suspicious of no good is going to happen to Anna?

Again your dialogue etc is well written.
Always look forward to reading your new chapters..
Gert
