This is good. good job of bringing in some new characterization, and Anna's reactions seem to rise right out of her character. As usual, you leave the reader ready for the next step.

I haven't read the previous chapters, but I thought that this was top-notch. The dialogue was very gripping and intense. It flowed very smoothly.

Well, now you've done it..this is the first post of yours I've taken the time to read, and now I'm going to have to go back to the beginning and start reading the whole thing. What drew me in, was the openining, because you started off by talking about the homeless vet. I am also a disabled vet, and take notice when my brothers and sisters are mentioned. Then I had to read about you, and have concluded that I would benefit greatly by taking the time to read your work. I'm not able to critique chapters quite the same as the poetry I've been reviewing, so I'm really not sure what to look for with them. But I will be honest if something pops out-is that fair enough? I'm krazykats, and it will be a pleasure to read this book from the beginning.

So Bobby and/or his mother have hired this thug to do their dirty work.(I like the 'friend of a cousin' association) I'm glad Anna has the PI watching her, I think she'll need him. Great chapter!

bound to bring a plethora of problems with him whenever
he he's around. I'd also be careful about befriending
strangers if I were Troy and Anna as everyone would be
suspect in my book at this stage of the game.
